Terms & Conditions

By creating an account or buying access at EnglishLinie, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully — especially the access-period section, because our model differs from the “lifetime access” other platforms usually promise.

1. The service

EnglishLinie is an online English-learning platform for Indonesian learners, containing staged lesson material from A1.1 to B2.2, exercises, and exam-format preparation such as IELTS, TOEFL, and institutional tests. EnglishLinie is not an official exam provider — official certificates are issued only by the authorised institutions.

2. Accounts

• An account is personal to one person. You may not share your account credentials, or sell, rent out, or transfer your account and access to anyone else.
• You are responsible for the activity that takes place through your account and for the accuracy of the data you provide.
• We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, with notice through the registered contact channel.

3. Level purchases and access periods

Paid levels are bought once per level with the following access period:

• Access runs until you pass that level in the app — that is, every lesson completed and the final test achieved with a minimum score of 60% — plus a 6-month grace period after that pass.
• Whatever happens, access ends at the latest 3 years from the purchase date of that level.
• “Passing” here always means passing in the app, based on your progress records. Official exam results outside the app do not change the access period.
• After the access period ends, the level locks again and can be bought again. Your progress records stay stored in your account.

The price, contents, and availability of each level are as shown on the Pricing page and the payment screen at the time of purchase.

4. The Pro subscription

• Pro is a paid subscription with a monthly or yearly period, as chosen at purchase.
• You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops the next period, and Pro access runs until the end of the period already paid for.
• Refund terms for Pro are set out in the Refund Policy.

5. Assessment and checking

• Practice questions and tests are checked automatically against an answer key. Speaking and writing practice is assessed by yourself: you assess your own work by comparing it against the model answers and recorded audio provided.
• Self-assessed scores and practice scores are study material; they are not official assessments and are no substitute for assessment by a human examiner or an exam institution.

6. Payments

Payments are processed by our payment service partners. Your card data and payment credentials are processed by those partners and never touch our servers. Access opens once payment is confirmed; if your access does not open because of a technical error on our side, the terms in the Refund Policy apply.

7. Intellectual property

All material — lesson texts, audio, images, questions, and software — belongs to the EnglishLinie operator or its licensors and is protected by copyright law. A purchase gives you a personal licence to study, not ownership: you may not copy, re-record, distribute, resell, or republish the material in any form, including to train third-party artificial-intelligence models.

8. Prohibited use

• Sharing, selling, or renting out accounts and access.
• Downloading or harvesting material in bulk automatically (scraping), except for download features we ourselves provide.
• Interfering with, damaging, or attempting to break into the security of the service.
• Using the service for purposes that violate Indonesian law.

9. Learning outcomes

We provide the material, the structure, and the practice; we do not promise that you will pass an official exam or achieve any particular result. Results depend on your own effort and consistency.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes that affect access periods or prices do not apply retroactively to purchases already completed; other changes apply from the moment they are published on this page, and continued use of the service afterwards means your agreement.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Indonesia. Disputes are settled first by deliberation through our Contact channels.
